Emancipendence, Usain Bolt and deals to Jamaica!

On August 6, 2010 Jamaica celebrated her 48^th birthday! So…… Happy 48^th birthday Jamaica! WOW, how time flies? I remember when you were just a tiny unknown island trying to be recognized by the rest of the world. NOW, you are standing tall on the world scene! This week we celebrated our independence and emancipation….”emancipendence”! Celebrations were executed in many forms. Some went to church (not me), some went to concerts and parties (that would be me) and some celebrated at home with friends and family. How did you celebrate?

Now, I must say that I am a little upset that Usain Bolt lost the 100m in Stockholm ON Independence Day! What was Bolt thinking? Oh wait, I was just told that he was partying on the beach in Negril last week! Well, I really can’t be mad at him because those parties are truly amazing and would probably make a monk rethink his vows of silence and solitude and throw his hands up in the air and party like a rock star…make that a reggae star! So no sweat, next time around Bolt will beat him like a Mexican piñata.
